Black version wonton mee, not so common in SG. First time trying and ordered the $5 serving. Average taste for the noodles as the sauce lack flavour, chilli not spicy as well. Wonton is quite good but only a miserable 2 pieces for a $5 …

Wah Kee 華記 ???? 29 Bendemeer Road, Bendemeer Market & Food Centre #01-81 Singapore 330029 ???? Boon Keng MRT (approx. 5 mins walk) …

In-house Char Siew which is roasted well on the outside. Noodles texture is well done and soup is nice without much msg. $4 is good for small eater whilst $5 is common portion. Worth the try at affordable price.

The black version wonton mee is a unique dish not commonly found in Singapore. I tried the $5 serving for the first time and found the noodles to be average tasting with a lack of flavor in the sauce. The chili was also not spicy. The wonton, however, was quite good, but there were only two meager pieces for a $5 serving.
