Went for 11am early lunch today and was most delighted with the friendly and helpful service. I was abit surprised that there was an additional GST costs at a little place in a Toa Payoh Alley, but I am not complaining as the food was as good as it gets. I ordered the nasi lemak with chicken curry and it was absolutely delicious. The coconut rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the curry had just the right amount of spice. The portion size was also generous. The staff were attentive and efficient, constantly refilling our water and checking if everything was alright. The only downside was that the restaurant was quite crowded and it was a bit stuffy, but overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be going back.

Tucked along a row of many cafés, this place is open 10am-10pm for a quick meal of Penang staples. Not everything is good though, so if you're craving something in particular, you might be disappointed. Assam laksa is sweeter than it should be, which is a shame. The char kway teow, on the other hand, is delicious and full of wok hei. The portion size is decent, but the wait time can be long during peak hours. The ambiance and decor are average, nothing special. The service can be hit or miss, depending on the staff. Some are friendly and helpful, while others seem indifferent. Overall, it's a decent place to satisfy your Penang food cravings, but don't expect perfection.
