The Reading Gym at Bukit Batok is a terrible place. The staff there are very harsh and I witnessed one of them using a cane to whack a child for something minor. It was an appalling sight and I was nearly traumatized by it. I also found that the woman who runs the place has no patience and would scold me for the smallest things, like putting my book on the table edge. This happened 5 years ago and I would not wish this experience on anyone else.
