Tempura Makino (Great World) reviews

The tempura dishes were exceptional. The combination of light batter used and chef's mastery in deep frying created a perfect degree of crispiness. Every bite of the tempura wasn't oily, and one could taste the freshness of the ingredients. …

Sgd19.9++ for tendon set, which includes small dish of appetizer (okra, enoki), huge bowl of rice and tempura, and miso soup. Requested for tempura dipping sauce and was provided. Wonderful ambience. Service was friendly and prompt. Lovely place to dine with friends, will be back.

Can't say that this is the best tempura but one of the more above-average tasting tempura with few varieties offered. Somehow my experience in terms of the food quality here was less noteworthy compared to the Suntec branch, even though they are the same chain.
