They don’t seem to portray as good employer to their foreign workforce

2023-08-27 Rachel

I worked as a civil engineer at Soil Engineering for 3 years. Overall, my experience was not very positive. The company had a tendency to prioritize their local workforce over us foreigners, which made it difficult to feel valued and appreciated. The workload was also extremely high, with long hours and tight deadlines. The management was often unresponsive to our concerns and did not provide adequate support or resources. Additionally, there was a lack of opportunities for career growth and advancement. I would not recommend working at Soil Engineering as a foreign civil engineer.

I joined Soil Engineering as a civil engineer fresh out of university. While the projects I worked on were interesting, I found the company to be quite disorganized and lacked clear communication. There were often delays in receiving necessary information and resources, which made it difficult to do my job effectively. The company also did not provide much training or guidance, and I felt like I was expected to figure everything out on my own. The work-life balance was also poor, with long hours and weekend work being the norm. Overall, I would rate my experience at Soil Engineering as below average.

I worked as a civil engineer at Soil Engineering for 2 years and had a mixed experience. On one hand, the company had some interesting projects and I had the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. On the other hand, the work environment was quite stressful and demanding. There were frequent changes in project priorities and scope, which made it challenging to stay organized and meet deadlines. I also felt that the company could do a better job of recognizing and rewarding its employees for their hard work. Overall, I would rate Soil Engineering as an average employer for civil engineers.
