Shu Yan Sichuan Cuisine reviews

The restaurant located inside Chinatown Point which is easy to find . We ordered the fish soup , sichuan chicken and fried rice. We love them all. The portion of each dish is big and enough for 3 persons and 2 kids. The place is not crowded …

Repeated visit. Good deal to use Eatigo discount to try new dishes. The 辣子鸡 today was very tough & hard. We provided feedback to the kitchen. I suspect the chicken was leftover from last night and recooked, the texture was not acceptable.

Portions are generous but some dishes can be tad more salty for local buds. Would suggest the pickled veg fish, fried rice and stir fried QingLong. The wok hey can be tasted so chefs are quite good. Selected servers are good and checks in often, but a few push alot for sales instead of customers needs.

The restaurant is conveniently located inside Chinatown Point and can be easily found. We tried the fish soup, Sichuan chicken, and fried rice, and we enjoyed all of them. The portion was large enough to serve 3 people and 2 children. The restaurant was not crowded.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and I always take advantage of the Eatigo discount to try new dishes. However, the 辣子鸡 today was very tough and hard to eat. I mentioned this to the kitchen staff and I suspect that the chicken was leftover from the previous night and reheated, resulting in an unacceptable texture.

The portion sizes at this restaurant are quite generous. However, some dishes could be a bit saltier for local tastebuds. I would recommend trying the pickled veg fish, fried rice, and stir-fried QingLong. The chefs here are skilled at achieving the wok hey flavor. The service staff are generally good and check in regularly, although a few of them are quite pushy when it comes to upselling and don't prioritize customer needs.
