As a patient, do we have a right to know the pricing of some blood work? I called the lab number and was advised by Wati it is impossible for lab to provide any costs estimation. The rationale behind this is that charges depends on the tests, agreements with insurers and employers, etc. Would it not be more transparent to public if prices published on their website, as well as those of Government hospitals?
