Overrice reviews
Halal-guys inspired rice bowl store that is almost there but not so. Firstly, the staff at the cashier is obviously in lack of training and kept apologizing for mistakes. The food is okay - I thought the rice bowl had a bit too much rice for my liking. Appreciated the banana pudding for reminding me of magnolia bakery in the US.
it tries too hard to be Sg’s version of Nyc’s halal guys. flavours are lacking. i almost wept when eating halal guys in Nyc but this, we couldn’t finish it. falafel was over cooked. pita was nicer than the rice set but nothing to rave about.
One of the best falafel’s you can find in singapore as many which I’ve tried were too dry and crumbly. Their basmati rice tastes amazing too and is definitely comparable/even better than briyani places. Just note that the place is kinda …

The staff at the cashier is obviously in lack of training and kept apologizing for mistakes. The rice bowl had a bit too much rice for my liking. The flavors were lacking and the falafel was overcooked. The pita was nicer than the rice set but nothing to rave about. They need improvement.
The food was okay but the rice bowl had too much rice for my liking. The flavors were lacking and the falafel was overcooked. The pita was nicer than the rice set but nothing to rave about. The staff at the cashier seemed untrained and made mistakes, but they were apologetic. The banana pudding reminded me of the one from Magnolia Bakery in the US, which I appreciated.
The restaurant is trying to be Singapore's version of NYC's Halal Guys, but falls short. The flavors are lacking and we couldn't finish our meal. The falafel was overcooked and the pita was better than the rice set, but not amazing. Overall, it was disappointing.
The falafel at Overrice Restaurant is one of the best in Singapore. I have tried many falafel places and most of them are too dry and crumbly. The basmati rice is also delicious and can compete with biryani places. The restaurant has a nice ambiance but could be improved. Overall, I highly recommend trying the falafel and basmati rice here.

The rice bowl had too much rice for my liking. The banana pudding was a nice touch and reminded me of Magnolia Bakery in the US.
