An old school dessert place in heart of Chinatown serving up Chinese styled desserts. They are most notably known for their shaved ice and peanuts. The ices come in a myriad of flavors and aren't overly sweet. They've got other things aside from their shaved ices such as pastes and dessert soups. The store is air conditioned which is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

I went to Mei Heong Yuen Dessert for the first time last weekend and I was blown away by the quality of their desserts. The shaved ice is incredibly smooth and the flavors are well-balanced. I tried the red bean and green tea combination and it was heavenly. The portion size is generous and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back for more.
