Came by to try it and I really can't understand the hype behind all the good reviews. Ordered the small version ($5) for dine in. Wait time was around 10mins (the noodles were already cooked and waiting in the pot). The noodles were dry and hard, didn't taste like any Hokkien mee I've had before. The prawns and squid were also overcooked and rubbery. The only saving grace was the sambal chili, which provided some much-needed flavor. Overall, very disappointed and won't be coming back.
This place is currently the best Hokkien Mee that I have ever tried. My family always go to this place because of the taste and texture. This is the only place I have seen that has lard and ikan bilis which is amazing. I was skeptical at first but after trying it, I am hooked.
Chanced upon this stall while passing by. Googled searched and thought to give this a try. Crowd was agreeable with almost all tables occupied. Wanted to try both the noodles and dumplings but stall only had the noodles. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Lard was fragrant and the noodles had a nice wok hei flavor. Chilli was also good. Good for a quick meal.
