Outlet was quiet in a Saturday evening so it was a nice dining experience. Not crowded. Food was okay. The best is indeed their prawn pao fan. The pao fan was soooo flavourful. Just this dish is enough to feel happy and full. Ee fu mee not that fantastic as the texture is too soft for my liking. Another not that fantastic dish is the beancurd skin with spinach. The spinach is too overcooked, no bite at all. We ordered 3 kinds of dessert for 3 of us. Out of the 3, i like the mango pomelo sago the most. At $12.80, the portion is just right with the right sweetness from mango. The other 2 i ordered was quite blend.
The food was average tasting. Portion size was small for the price. However, the prawn pao fan was delicious. The broth was flavorful and the prawns were juicy. The ee fu mee was disappointing as it was too soft for my liking. The beancurd skin with spinach was also overcooked. The dessert we ordered, the mango pomelo sago, was the highlight of the meal. It had a good balance of sweetness and the mango and pomelo gave it a refreshing taste.
I've been to this restaurant a few times and each time, I've ordered a variety of dim sum dishes. The food is good, but nothing exceptional. The standout dish for me is the mango pomelo sago. It's my favourite and always comes with a generous amount of ingredients. The other dishes I've tried are decent, but nothing stands out. The restaurant has an old school vibe, which adds to the dining experience. Overall, it's a good place to go if you're craving for some dim sum, but don't expect anything extraordinary.
The East Bistro Chinese restaurant is a great place to go for a traditional Chinese dining experience. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and dim sum, with options ranging from typical zhi char items to Hong Kong style quick bites. One dish that I highly recommend is their pao fan, which is rice cooked in a rich broth. The pao fan is full of flavor and is a must-try. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant also has a nostalgic old school vibe, which adds to the overall dining experience. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
I recently visited East Bistro Chinese restaurant with my family for dinner. The restaurant was relatively quiet on a Saturday evening, which made for a pleasant dining experience. The food was okay overall, but the standout dish was definitely the prawn pao fan. The pao fan was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Just one serving of this dish was enough to make me feel happy and full. On the other hand, the ee fu mee was not that fantastic as the texture was too soft for my liking. Another dish that didn't impress me was the beancurd skin with spinach, as the spinach was overcooked and lacked any bite. For dessert, we ordered the mango pomelo sago, which was the highlight of the meal. The portion was just right and the sweetness from the mango was perfect. The other two desserts we ordered were quite bland. Overall, it was a decent dining experience but with some hits and misses in terms of the food.

It is a must-order dish and I thoroughly enjoy it. Overall, East Bistro Chinese restaurant is a great place to enjoy delicious dim sum and the ambiance is cozy and inviting.

East Bistro Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem in the city. The food here is amazing, especially the prawn pao fan. The pao fan is incredibly flavorful and has the perfect balance of spices. One serving of this dish is enough to make you feel satisfied and content. Another dish that I highly recommend is the ee fu mee. It has a great texture and the flavors are spot on. The beancurd skin with spinach is also delicious, with the spinach cooked just right and having a nice crunch. For dessert, the mango pomelo sago is a must-try. It is sweet and refreshing, with a burst of flavors from the mango and pomelo. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very cozy and inviting, with an old school vibe. Overall, East Bistro Chinese restaurant is definitely one of my go-to places for Chinese food in the city.
