LIFESAVER! this place is SO AMAZING. I had a 20+ year old LV pochette from my mom which was completely ruined. I'm talking zip completely gone, leather stiff as a rock, hardware basically hanging on by its last thread. I consulted another leather repair shop initially and they quoted me a ridiculous $200 for a full restoration. Then I luckily found Uncle Chan's. He took a look at my bag and said he could restore it for $80. The difference in price is insane but that's not even the kicker! After one week dancing around, I finally got up the guts to tear open the plastic bag he gave me my restored pochette in... and BOY WAS I SHOCKED. My bag looks like it just came off the store shelf! I actually cried at how beautiful it looked. 10/10 recommend bringing your things here for restoration. Honestly, I'm a bit addicted now because after he fixed my bag I brought him a 10-year-old pair of Ferragamo flats that I would be embarrassed to wear. They had serious scuffs and scratches that made me ashamed to wear them. But you won't believe me if I tell you that Uncle Chan fixed them up to look like BRAND NEW. Honestly, I don't know how he does what he does but I am so glad to have found him. Prices are reasonable, service is impeccable, and he's just an overall wonderful person. Thank you Uncle Chan! I brought in a leather wallet that had a broken zipper. Mr. Chan took a look at it and said he could repair it. He quoted me a very reasonable price and I decided to go ahead with the repair. The repair was done quickly and the wallet looks great. I am very satisfied with the service I received and would definitely recommend Chan Yew Leathers for leather repairs.
