The first time I learned proper Buddhism was from BDMS, with Bhante Dhammika. Lots of recommended books for beginners can be obtained for free here (Good Questions, Good Answers, etc.)
Nice location, good for introduction to basic Buddhist concepts and practice. Have about 3 English Dhamma classes a week, meditation, a suttanta class and a sunday service. The resident monk is Sri Lankan.
Friendly supportive environment for spiritual practice
