Never knew Barcook had Kouign Amann. One of my favourite pastries. It was good. Flaky, slightly buttery with the caramelized goodness on top. It's like a croissant but with 1 side having a caramelized char.
This garlic with cream cheese bun caught my eye. I loved the one from Swee Heng and this is cheaper but smaller in size. This has much stronger garlic flavour but I prefer the SH cream cheese. Overall still great in my opinion. Will buy again next time!
Love the kouign-amann from the store, which is at a very reasonable price point given its quality. Buttery without being overly greasy, fans of caramel and butter will enjoy this treat.
